Panoramic view from the escarpment in the vicinity of the E of the two summits known as El Sombrero in N direction to the stratovolcano Pico del Teide (3715 m), highest peak of Spain and Macaronesia. The shoulder left from the main summit is the younger Pico Viejo (3134 m). Both volcanoes raise from the bottom of a cauldron known as Las Cañadas, which is the result of mountain collapses rather than a real caldera.
