View from the vicinity of Cabeça Fundão down the S slopes of the island of Fogo to the Atlantic Ocean. The cone in the centre of the scene clearly indicates the volcanic origin of the island. The lush green of the vegetation only persists for few months each year. After the short rainy season, colours quickly turn to yellowish and brownish in October or November, and remain so until the following August.
