Baños | Lahar flow and landslide
WI_ec271.jpg Baños | Lahar flowThumbnailsPlymouth with Soufrière Hills Volcano

The slopes of the active Volcán Tungurahua (5016 m) are highly susceptible to lahar flows, threatening the populated areas nearby. Eroded lahar deposits are seen in the front, the landslide in the background was possibly induced by undercutting of the river bank. Location: near Highway 30.
