View from the mountain pass crossing the Serra Malagueta in NW direction down to the Atlantic Ocean. The lush green of the vegetation in the hills of Santiago only persists for few months each year. After the short rainy season, colours quickly turn to yellowish and brownish in October or November, and remain so until the following August.
