View from the vicinity of Monte Tchota in W direction to the community of Pico Leão and across the fluvially dissected volcanic slopes leading down to the Atlantic Ocean in the background. The lush green of the vegetation only persists for few months each year. After the short rainy season, colours quickly turn to yellowish and brownish in October or November, and remain so until the following August.
