Viewpoint near the summit of Wenderkogel. The prehistoric Köfels rock slide blocked the valley and dammed a lake in the area of today's basin of Längenfeld (central background). The Ötztaler Ache eroded the deep Maurach gorge (left centre) through the rock slide deposit.
