Panoramic view from the Mirador Likan-Antay over the Cordillera de la Sal in SW direction. This very young range of hills consists of a sequence of clastic and evaporitic sedimentary layers, which evolved in and around an ancient salt flat, and of pyroclastic deposits. The entire package has been tilted and folded due to tectonic compression.
