Scene at the SE slope of the Achada plateau, close to Calheta de Nesquim. The hilly terrain characterized by the bright green of the pastures and meadows with interspersed trees, stone walls, and forest patches, and by the presence of well-preserved volcanic cones, is stereotypical for the Azorean landscape.
