View from the road Mon - Salouf in NE direction to the lower S slope of Piz Linard. The picture was taken less than two days after a rock avalanche had detached from the highly unstable slopes of Piz Linard, narrowly missing the village of Brienz. As the event had been expected, the village and its surroundings had been evacuated for more than one month. Also Brienz itself is located on a slow-moving landslide.
