View from the escarpment in the vicinity of the E of the two summits known as El Sombrero in N direction to Pico del Teide (3715 m). The shoulder on the left side is the younger Pico Viejo (3134 m). Both volcanoes raise from the bottom of a cauldron known as Las Cañadas, which is the result of mountain collapses rather than a real caldera.
