Flight Praia - Lisboa, view in SE direction down to Boa Vista, representing one of the three E islands of the archipelago. They are older than the other islands, and volcanism has ceased long time ago as the islands moved away from the hot spot. Consequently, the summits have been eroded and the islands are characterized by the lack of high mountains, resulting in an arid climate all year round. Similarly to Sal, plenty of sunshine makes Boa Vista a popular destination for beach tourism and related activities.
