The NW slope of the Mont de la Saxe is characterized by massive slope deformations, here shown more than seven years after a period of high activity. Since a sudden acceleration of the sliding, possibly affecting the villages of Entrèves and La Palud, cannot be ruled out, this slope is the subject of extensive research and monitoring.
