View from Newcastle's Quayside up the River Tyne to the various bridges connecting Gateshead and Newcastle. Formerly representing an industrial area in a state of decay, the Quayside has been redeveloped to a modern environment for various types of cultural activities as well as for housing. The building of the Baltic Flour Mill (centre of the photo) has been converted into the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art.
