Kaunertal | Gepatsch Reservoir with Hochmais Landslide
WI_at001_53.jpg Plymouth with Soufrière Hills VolcanoThumbnailsKaunertal | From the glacier to the reservoir

The slopes heading into the Gepatsch Reservoir are characterized by scarps indicating a system of slow-moving landslides (deep-seated slope deformation) in the prevailing metamorphic rocks. The Hochmais Landslide in the centre of the image represents the most obvious example whilst traces of smaller landslides are visible on the left side.
