Gurvan Saykhan Mountains | Bactrian camels

View from the road Bayandalai - Yolyn Am Gorge. The Gurvan Saykhan Mountains form part of the Gobi Altai and culminate at 2825 m a.s.l. The two-humped Bactrian camel (Camelus bactrianus) is very rare and endangered in the wild. In contrast, it is often seen as pack animal in the Gobi as well as in other areas of Inner Asia.
