Gurvan Saykhan Mountains | Panorama

WI_mo127.jpg

Viewpoint close to the entrance gate leading to the Yolyn Am Gorge. The Gurvan Saykhan Mountains, part of the Gobi Altai, culminate at 2825 m a.s.l. The picture shows the Zuun Saykhanii Nuruu subrange. Note the relatively even descent of the crests, possibly indicating the uplift and erosion of an old land surface.
