View from the Dürnstein castle ruin in SW direction to the small town of Dürnstein and across the Danube. The Wachau represents a relatively narrow valley, where the Danube had to incise into the Bohemian mass. But the term Wachau also stands for the cultural landscape, famous for wine growing, and declared a UNESCO World Heritage.
