Laakirchen | Traunfall

WI_at222_11.jpg

This waterfall at the Traun river between Steyrermühl and Roitham is of natural origin, but was strongly modified around 1900, when a hydropower plant was built. The site represented an obstacle for river navigation in past centuries, which had been overcome by technical measures since medieval times.
