Nā Pali Coast

Honopū Sea Arch appears at the front at the very bottom, Kalalau Valley in the centre of the image. The rugged northwest coast of Kaua'i with its more than 1000 m high cliffs is only accessible by foot or boat. Whilst the Nā Pali Coast was an important centre of trade in past centuries, it is now almost uninhabited and protected by law.
