View from the road Leuk - Erschmatt in SW direction to the Illgraben with its large debris cone. The Illgraben represents a very active and well-surveyed debris flow catchment. The large forest seen in the background of the photo is the Pfynwald, representing the border between the German-speaking and French-speaking parts of the Valais.
