Wachau | Donau with Dürnstein

WI_at239.jpg

View from Rossatz across the Danube to the small town of Dürnstein. The Wachau represents a relatively narrow valley, where the Danube had to incise into the Bohemian mass. But the term Wachau also stands for the cultural landscape, famous for wine growing, and declared a UNESCO World Heritage.
