Location: downstream from Hartlsee. Water in this area emerges from the karst aquifer of the Hochschwab mountains and from the deposit of the Wildalpen rock avalanche. It is strictly protected, since this area has served as one of the main sources of drinking water for the city of Vienna since the early 20th century.
