View from the campanile in NE direction. The cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Venice is the most famous example of Italo-Byzantine architecture. Most of the structure dates back to the 11th century, whereas the height of the domes was increased in the 13th century. The Palazzo Ducale can be seen on the right side.
