The Marlborough Sounds are a large network of drowned valleys, islands, and peninsulas at the N end of New Zealand's South Island. The rocky islets shown in the lower centre of this photo are located near West Head, at the outlet of Tory Channel / Kura Te Au towards the Cook Strait, one of the candidates for the E-most point of the South Island.
