This baroque 18th-century palace originally served as the seat of the Prince-Bishops of Würzburg. The complex was heavily damaged during the air raid of March 1945. Refurbishment took until 1987. In 1981, the palace and the adjacent Court Gardens were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
