Steyr | Enge Gasse and Schlosstor

WI_at189_515.jpg

The history of the town of Steyr, located at the confluence of the rivers Enns and Steyr is tightly connected to processing and trading of the iron ore mined at Erzberg. Various historic buildings give evidence of the wealth that the ore brought to this place. This scene shows the Enge Gasse (literally: narrow lane), one of the main roads in the historic centre, and the Schlosstor (literally: castle gate) leading up to Schloss Lamberg.
