Herðubreiðarlindir | Shelter of Fjalla-Eyvindur

WI_is149_501.jpg

This natural shelter was used by the 18th century outlaw Fjalla-Eyvindur. Due to the favourable conditions in this place, he survived the first winter after his escape, having stolen sheep and horses. With the help of his wife, he could spend 20 years in different places in the highland before he was allowed to resocialize.
