View from Atomium to the former national stadium of Belgium. The original stadium goes back to 1930. It was known as the Heysel Stadium between 1946 and 1995, when it was almost completely rebuilt. The 1985 Heysel Stadium disaster just before the European Cup Final, with 39 fatalities, remains a dark spot in the history of football.
