View along Calle de Gerona in E direction. Benidorm, with approx. 70,000 permanent inhabitants, reaches a population of several hundred thousands during peak season. The place is particularly popular among British people, as it is reflected in the name and design of bars, restaurants, and amusement facilities. The town serves as a party destination for the young generation, a holiday resort for families, and also as a winter refuge for elderly people.
