View from Volcà del Montsacopa over Olot in S direction. This town goes back to the 9th century, but had to be rebuilt after two earthquakes in the 1420s. It is located in the volcanic zone of La Garrotxa, characterized by a number of extinct cones, in the E foothills of the Pyrenees.
