Schwingen, also known as Hosenlupf, some kind of folk wrestling, is a national sports in Switzerland. It is mainly practised in the German-speaking part of the country, where the Schwing festival at Schwägalp in the canton Appenzell-Ausserrhoden represents one of various popular local events.
