Panoramic view from Diedamskopf to the Lechquellen mountains and Damüls mountains in the left background, Mittagsfluh (1637 m) and Kanisfluh (2044 m) in the centre, and Guntenkopf (1811 m) in the right central background. Kanisfluh and Mittagsfluh are composed of Jurassic limestone. The mountains behind consist of Cretaceous limestone and marl as well as flysch. These rocks, except for the flysch, formed at the N shelf of the Tethys. This so-called Helvetic system is more common in Switzerland.
