View from Diedamskopf in NW direction to Hirschberg (1834 m) on the left side and Winterstaude (1877 m) in the central background. Both mountain chains are composed of Cretaceous limestone, which formed at the N shelf of the Tethys ocean. This so-called Helvetic system is common in Switzerland, but only found in the very W of Austria.
