View from the Miradouro do Cerrado das Freiras in NW direction to Lagoa Azul and the village of Sete Cidades. This landscape is part of a caldera which formed through a long and complex history of mainly explosive volcanic eruptions, leaving behind an assemblage of craters and lakes.
