This photo was taken one week after a chunk of rock of approx. 1 million cubic metres had detached from Fluchthorn (right central background), reducing the summit elevation from 3399 m to 3380 m. The rock avalanche impacted a damp area with some small lakes, resulting in a splash of debris and water reaching the Furtschöl valley, impounding a lake and producing a debris flow. The event did not directly affect the Jamtal mountain hut (lower left portion of the image), and caused no significant damage.
