Patterns of coastal erosion and deposition at the beach of El Médano on the rain-shaded S coast of the island. This location is known as a premium spot for wind- and kitesurfing. The partly eroded volcanic cones of Montaña Bocinegro (36 m) and Montaña Roja (171 m) appear in the background of the picture.
