The complex landslide in the foreground of this image (E side of the Topitza mountain) is connected to a geological hard-on-soft situation: hard limestone overlays much softer clastic sedimentary rocks. Rock falls in the limestone facilitate earth flow processes in the softer rock, proceeding farther down-valley.
