This informal hillslope neighbourhood represents a pueblo joven ("young village") in its very strict sense: the first houses appeared in 2019. Such kind of land invasion, mainly by people migrating from the countryside to Lima, is a common phenomenon on the steeper slopes of Lima's hills, but also at the edge of the city. Later on, when the inhabitants will have managed to earn some more money, the quality of the buildings will gradually improve, and so will the provision of public services.
