View from the Metrocable station Trece de Noviembre in W direction to downtown Medellín (La Candelaria), with various skyscrapers constructed in the second half of the 20th Century. Later, this area has experienced some decline, with many services shifting in S direction towards El Poblado. Due to its mild climate all year round, Medellín is known as the city of eternal spring whereas the national capital Bogotá, located at higher elevation, is rather referred to as the "fridge".
