WI_co233.jpg Chañaral | Granitoid intrusionThumbnailsNorthern highlands of Antioquia with grazing grounds

View from the vicinity of the restaurant El Mico up the Río San Andrés in SW direction. The N highlands of Antioquia, here at approx. 2600 m asl., are used for large-scale cattle grazing. They consist in an undulating landscape extending on the deeply weathered granitic rock of the Antioquia Batholith.
