View from Olympiaturm in W direction. The Olympiastadion München was completed in 1968 and served as the main venue of the 1972 Summer Olympics. It also hosted the finals of the 1974 FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Euro 1988, as well as several European club finals. Bayern München and partly also 1860 München used the stadium for their regular matches before moving to the newly built Allianz Arena in 2005.
