View across the Marx-Engels-Forum to the 368 m high Berlin TV Tower. Completed in 1969 close to the Alexander Square, it was intended to represent a symbol of communist power. The tower still serves as a broadly visible landmark of the city and remains one of the tallest structures in Europe.
