The ruins of Spiš Castle, one of the largest castle sites in Europe. It was built in the 12th century in the place of an earlier castle, and abandoned in the early 18th century. The buildings were partly repaired in the second half of the 20th century and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993.
