Danube Valley with Schlögener Schlinge

WI_at224_07.jpg

Flight Vienna - Frankfurt. Deeply cut into the Bohemian Massif on its way from Passau to Linz, the Danube separates the landscapes of the Mühlviertel (upper part, northeast) and the Sauwald (lower part, southwest). The distinct valley meander seen in the lower left portion of the photo is known as Schlögener Schlinge.
