Former minaret of the Great Mosque. After the Reconquista, the mosque was replaced by one of the largest cathedrals in the world. The minaret was complemented by a Renaissance-style top serving as the bell tower of the cathedral. La Giralda, together with the cathedral, has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
