View over the island of Heimaey in southeastern direction to the volcanoes Eldfell (200 m) on the left side and Helgafell (227 m) on the right side. Helgafell is approx. 6000 years old, whereas Eldfell formed as late as 1973 during a major eruption devastating part of the island.
