View from Fő tér, the main square in the historic centre of Sopron. Tűztorony (Fire Tower) served as a gate tower at the medieval town wall and as a lookout tower for the early detection of fires. The appearance of the tower itself goes back to its reconstruction after a fire in 1676. The town hall appears in the right portion of the image.
