Lateral boundary of the clay-rich Chirlești Earth Flow. This landslide was first reported in 1953. A major reactivation occurred in 2006 and the following years, when the lobe was fed by newly mobilized material and extended towards the main road and the railway line. Both the 1953 and the 2006 event were associated to periods of increased rainfall months before.
