The villages of Kunde (left side) and Khumjung (right centre) have been built on a huge ancient rock slide. Part of the rock slide deposit can be seen in the right portion of the photo. Mt. Everest (8848 m), Lhotse (8516 m), and Ama Dablam (6812 m) appear in the background in NE direction.
