Nighttime view of the national opera theatre, home of the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet. Located at the head of the Oslofjord, this venue has opened its gates in April 2008. The building's exterior surfaces are covered with white granite and carrara marble. The highway in the foreground of the photograph was later demolished and the space used for urban development.
